Crowder - I Am (Lyric Video)

This is another favorite today! I think verse 3 is my favorite.

You can get the chord sheet PDF here.

"I Am"
(performed by Crowder)

[Verse 1:]
There’s no space that His love can’t reach
There’s no place that we can’t find peace
There’s no end to Amazing Grace
Take me in with your arms spread wide
Take me in like an orphan child
Never let go, never leave my side.

[Chorus: (2X)]
I am,
Holding on to You.
I am,
Holding on to You.
In the middle of the storm,
I am Holding on,
I am!

[Verse 2:]
Love like this, Oh my God to find!
I am overwhelmed what a joy divine!
Love like this sets our hearts on fire!

[Chorus: (2X)]

[Verse 3:]
This is my Resurrection Song
This is my Hallelujah Come
This is why to You I run
This is my Resurrection Song
This is my Hallelujah Come
This is why to You I run
There’s no space that His love can’t reach
There’s no place that we can’t find peace
There’s no end to Amazing Grace

[Chorus: (2X)]

Matt Redman - Mercy (Lyrics And Chords)

Here's one song that doesn't need lyrics or chords, because it's in the video! This is a beautiful song.

May I never lose the wonder,
oh, the wonder of Your mercy.
May I sing Your hallelujah.
Hallelujah, Amen.

Forever - by Kari Jobe & Brian Johnson - WorshipMob cover

How did you kick off your Easter celebration? I used this song... I love the chorus and the bridge!

Forever
(lyrics by Brian Johnson/Kari Jobe/Bethel, v3 by WM)

The moon and stars they wept
The morning sun was dead
The Savior of the world was fallen
His body on the cross
His blood poured out for us
The weight of every curse upon Him

One final breath He gave
As heaven looked away
The Son of God was laid in darkness
A battle in the grave
The war on death was waged
The power of hell forever broken

The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting?
Our resurrected King
Has rendered you defeated

Forever He is glorified
Forever He is lifted high
(Forever He is risen
He is alive, He is alive

(verse 3 by WM's Garrett Chynoweth & Gina Milne)
With Christ as our defense, no weapon formed against
Can hold us though we're pressed, He's stronger
Empowered by the King, Who resurrected me
To set His children FREE, to conquer!

We sing Hallelujah, we sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
The Lamb has overcome

Say Something - by A Great Big World - WorshipMob (extended version)

This is an AMAZING song. But be warned, you may need a kleenex! The first half is really sad, yes, but I love how they wrote the second half as God's answer.

In this extended version, look at how one of the scripture readings is of the prodigal son with the father running towards his son... and then one of the lines of the second part is "You say, 'I'm still running after you."

I also really like visual element... the way the first lead two singers visually express themselves with their hands and their eyes.

Lastly... if only I could belt the second half like that lead singer...

You can download the extended version (with the scripture readings) here.

You can download the song without scripture readings here.

You can download the youtube video here in 720p.

I don't have the chords yet, I'm actually trying to take the secular version of this song's lead sheet and adapt it so I can play it!

How did this song touch you?

The lyrics I've typed up are as follows:

"Say Something"

Say something I'm giving up on you
I'll be the one if you want me to
Anywhere I would have followed you
Say something I'm giving up on you

And I, I'm feeling so small
It was over my head
And I'm nothing at all

And I, will stumble and fall
I'm still learning to love
Just starting to crawl

Say something I'm giving up on you
I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you
Anywhere I would have followed you
Say something I'm giving up on you

I will swallow my pride
You're the one that I love,
and I'm saying goodbye

Say something I'm giving up on you
I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you
Anywhere I would have followed you
Say something I'm giving up on you
Say something I'm giving up on you

Say something...

SCRIPTURE READING...
Be strong and courageous...
Come to me all who are weary...
For all who are led by my spirit are my sons and my daughters...
You are my son, today I become your Father...
Today, I'm going back to my father, and I'll say to him, I don't deserve to be called your son...
I'm a good Father. I know you. And I promise, you can hear my voice...

I've been watching you child
Still learning to love
Just starting to crawl

And I am waiting here now
Will you open your heart
I've been here all along

You say "I'm not giving up on you!"
You say "I'm still running after you!
Everywhere, I've been there with you!
Child, I will never give up on you!"
(x2)

Child, I will never give up on you.

Child, I have given my heart to you.
Child, I have given my heart to you.

Child, I will never give up on you.

Man Of Sorrows - Hillsong Live

I first heard this song last year during lent. Instead of singing "hallelujah" during the chorus, we simply replaced the words with "Praise and Honor". When I told a friend about this song last night, I recounted how, after doing my best to spiritually grow and prepare during lent, and singing this song with the alternate words. I finally got to sing this song in full on Easter morning... and I couldn't help but get chocked up as I finally sang those words.

I hope this song blesses you during Holy Week and Easter.

"Man Of Sorrows"

VERSE 1:
Man of sorrows Lamb of God
By His own betrayed
The sin of man and wrath of God
Has been on Jesus laid

VERSE 2:
Silent as He stood accused
Beaten mocked and scorned
Bowing to the Father's will
He took a crown of thorns

CHORUS:
Oh that rugged cross my salvation
Where Your love poured out over me
Now my soul cries out Hallelujah
Praise and honour unto Thee

VERSE 3:
Sent of heaven God's own Son
To purchase and redeem
And reconcile the very ones
Who nailed Him to that tree

BRIDGE:
Now my debt is paid
It is paid in full
By the precious blood
That my Jesus spilled
Now the curse of sin
Has no hold on me
Whom the Son sets free
Oh is free indeed

VERSE 4:
See the stone is rolled away
Behold the empty tomb
Hallelujah God be praised
He's risen from the grave

Our end is to know and love God

With our end in mind, how can we do anything but worship Him?
When we try to grasp God, how can we help but praise Him?

If there was a worshiper version of "foodie", I might be one. Its one of the ways in which I feel most alive.

I've always wanted to share amazing songs I come across, so that they can be a blessing to others. I'm starting this blog with that goal in mind: to be a blessing to others with the music that I find.

To make it into a bit of a contest, feel free to post in the comments your favorite ever or (newest favorite) worship song. I want to be blessed too!

I will do my best to add a thought or two about why I like this song so much or what sticks out about it for me, but again, I want to encourage interactivity.

So let's begin this journey together, and worship Him in Spirit and Truth!
